In his new role, Sowmitra will work closely with Hawksford business leaders to identify critical M&A opportunities, as well as help to deliver end-to-end transactions through planning, financial analysis, transaction structuring, and due diligence.

Speaking of his appointment, Sowmitra commented: “I’m very much looking forward to working with Hawksford’s business leaders and supporting the business in making several key strategic acquisitions in the coming years. M&A is an inherently fast-paced and dynamic industry and I’m keen to use my experience to work efficiently and help Hawksford meet their business goals.

Learning about the Hawksford culture and ensuring that the new businesses we acquire fit with our broader principles will be a significant challenge, but one that I am excited to embrace in order to deliver on the exciting growth plans for the company.”

Michel van Leeuwen, Group Chief Executive at Hawksford, added: “M&A is one of the key pillars of Hawksford’s growth strategy and Sowmitra will be a great asset to us, as we look to expand our geographical presence and enter new markets. Effective M&A will also help us to achieve our objective of expanding into several key service offerings that bolster our value proposition across Corporate, Private Client and Funds services.”
