Hawksford has invited its neighbours on The Esplanade to combine fundraising efforts for this year’s Comic Relief.
On Red Nose Day (Friday 15th March) local office teams, friends and families will be getting together to raise money for the charity at The Esplanade’s very own cake bake and sale. Staff from Hawksford and four other businesses from the area, including Appleby, Ogier, Carey Olsen and Jersey Finance. have been asked to channel their inner Mary Berry’s to make delicious baked goods to sell, with all profits generated going to Comic Relief. Chief executive, Peter Murley, said: ‘We are very happy that so many of our neighbours are willing to take part and help us to raise as much as we can for a good cause.
We are all looking forward to Friday and hope to see our neighbours and locals enjoying cake with us.’ All staff from the participating offices, and anyone who would like to do their bit for the charity, are invited to join Hawksford this Friday for a mid-morning treat. The national charity event, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, supports the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged families across the UK and in Africa.
Throughout the last 25 years, the charity has raised over £600 million for those in need.
Hawksford will be holding the cake sale on The Esplanade this Friday. The sale will be open from 9.30am until 2:30pm and will be located at the Hawksford office at 15 Esplanade (opposite Liberation Station).
