Mourant Ozannes has consolidated its position as the leading law firm in the Channel Islands, according to the latest International Financial Law Review (IFLR) 1000 rankings.

Mourant Ozannes was the only law firm to gain four out of four top tier rankings in the Financial & Corporate and Investment Funds sectors in both Guernsey and Jersey.

In Jersey, Mourant Ozannes retained its position as being the only Tier 1 ranked firm for investment funds, with the research proclaiming that it is “the best firm in Jersey in terms of its funds practice”. The write-up underlined the firm's strength in fund restructuring, hedge funds, private equity and real estate work. The rankings noted that Mourant Ozannes retains “a market leading position in key areas of financial and corporate work”, highlighting a number of recent significant deals and remarking on its strength in IPO, redomiciliation and cash box structuring work. Leading Jersey lawyers at the firm named by IFLR were Edward Devenport, James Hill, Robert Hickling and Jacqueline Richomme.

Jonathan Rigby, Managing Partner of Mourant Ozannes, commented:

“It is extremely gratifying to receive such a positive endorsement from our clients and to be recognised by IFLR as the only top tier law firm in all sectors across both Jersey and Guernsey. We have been involved in some highly significant financial, corporate and funds work over the past year and have continued to work hard to provide clients with the best possible service. I am delighted that this has all been recognised in the IFLR 1000 rankings.”
