Grace has a British Senior Ranking of 3rd, a World top 15 ranking, and is an England Futures (Next Generation) Athlete for 100m T35, a disability sport classification for ambulant athletics with cerebral palsy.

This month, Grace will be representing Great Britain at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Grand Prix in Zurich. This is one of several prestigious Grand Prix events on the IPC Annual Calendar and attracts the best of the Worlds Paralympic Athletes.

The 17-year-old is also targeting the Northern Ireland Championships in Belfast, British Championships, International School Games and further down the line has set her sights on competing in the Paralympic Games – all while studying Uniform Services at Highlands College Jersey and then hopefully onto Loughborough University as a Performance Athlete.

The sponsorship will help Grace with travel expenses and competitions for her commitments during 2022, which will help her towards reaching her goal of appearing at the 2026 Commonwealth Games and the Paralympics.

Grace Greenwood’s sponsorship follows closely IQ-EQ Jersey’s sponsorship of Leanne Rive, announced in January 2022.  Leanne Rive is the first Irish Woman and Channel Islander ever to compete in the world’s toughest ultramarathon – The Badwater 135. Leanne will be 1 of only 100 runners selected to run the 135 miles this July in over 50⁰C heat.

Ben Newman, Managing Director of IQ-EQ Jersey, commented:

“It was a delight to meet Grace and hear of all the wonderful events she has planned for the future. We take pride in being able to support local talent in Jersey and like to play an active role in our community. Everyone at IQ-EQ Jersey wishes Grace all the success in her upcoming competitions. Grace and Leanne are two strong women who are motivated to succeed, which are traits we admire, and look to support in our own staff. We take pride in being able to sponsor local athletes in their pursuit of personal goals.”
