Brightly awards grants to children and young people from birth to 25 years who are being looked after in the Government of Jersey care or are care experienced, as well as others who are suffering adversity and are in need. The intention is to create positive experiences and opportunities for children and young people with the aim of helping individuals move towards independence.

TISE has supported this initiative by donating £1,000 to fund regular swimming lessons for two families.

Kay McCarthy, Head of the Jersey Office at The International Stock Exchange Group (TISEG), said: “We are delighted to be able to make a real contribution to families who require assistance by funding an activity such as swimming, which is both an important life skill when living on an island like Jersey, as well as being enjoyable for all the family.”

Wendy Nerac, Fundraising Officer for Brightly, said: “Family activities like this make a real difference to the life experiences of children and young people who are in need. The support received from TISE really does have a tangible positive effect on those who require assistance.”

TISE has also been working with Help a Guernsey child to support those in need in Guernsey and The Children’s Centre in the Isle of Man.
