Last night, Joe Moynihan, Jersey Finance’s Chief Executive Officer, delivered a keynote address on the challenges and opportunities for the Island’s finance sector at an event hosted by the Jersey International Legal Association (JILA).
Joined by We Are Guernsey CEO Rupert Pleasant and industry experts from Gallagher, Carey Olsen and Brooks Macdonald, Joe shared insights on Jersey’s financial services sectors and global impact, highlighting how key the industry is to the Island’s future economic prosperity.
Following the keynote addresses, Joe and Rupert joined expert panellists and sponsors – Natasha Lucock, Gallagher; Mark O’Connor, Brooks Macdonald; and James Wilmott, Carey Olsen – who each discussed the similarities and differences between the two Islands, sharing their first-hand experiences of working across various financial services sectors.
The audience, primarily JILA members, then posed questions to the panel, which covered several topics ranging from connectivity, politics, media and sustainability.
Launched in 2022, JILA is a membership association for all lawyers who live and work in Jersey.
