Sinels Family Fun Week is taking place at the Jersey Museum from Monday 21 to Friday 25February 2011, 10am to 4pm. All children receive free admission for this half-term event, which hosts an array of exciting activities, games and historical activities, designed to help children explore the story of Jersey.
Children can watch an Edwardian photographer at work whilst taking part in arts, crafts and games. Storytellers will weave their tales of how Jersey helped a King during the Civil War and they’ll be able to hear stories from the trenches of World War One. They can then follow the story trail and find characters and objects around the museum illustrating the history of Jersey. Sinels Family Fun Week is free for all children and members of Jersey Heritage.
Matthew Godden, Advocate at Sinels said “At Sinels we are committed to supporting local projects and charities that are integral to the community, which is why we are proud to support Jersey Heritage. We appreciate the importance of Jersey Heritage and its commitment to protecting the legacy of Jersey’s history for future generations. We are delighted to sponsor the Family Fun Week taking place this half term. ”
Jon Carter, Director of Jersey Heritage said “The Sinels Family Fun Week is the first of many exciting family events organised by Jersey Heritage which are due to take place throughout 2011. This is an exciting time, with the new Visit.Stay.Belong campaign launching in April. We are extremely grateful to Sinels for their ongoing support of our events programme.”
