36 of Jersey’s most influential women have been named in the Citywealth’s IFC Power Women Top 200 list, which was published last week and features women working in a wide range of areas including government, private wealth, private client advisory, and philanthropy.
Representing almost one fifth of all those named in the 200-strong list, professionals working in Jersey outnumber those from any other jurisdiction, with the size of the Jersey contingent 50% higher than the next closest jurisdiction.
The 2014 list builds on the success of Citywealth’s ‘Top 100 IFC Power Women’ list last year and is designed to celebrate and acknowledge powerful women with diverse backgrounds. It has been compiled from a number of sources, including last year’s list, the 2014 Citywealth Leaders list, and a number of recommendations from leading figures in the financial services industry.
Geoff Cook, CEO, Jersey Finance, commented:
“It’s great to see so many private client experts from Jersey being recognised for their achievements in this list. It speaks volumes about the finance industry in Jersey, the extent to which those women working in the industry are opinion formers internationally, and the opportunities the industry offers for all talented people.”
