Jersey’s finance industry will be represented at a major hedge fund conference which attracts more than 850 industry professionals from around the world this week.
Jersey Finance will host an exhibition stand at the EuroHedge Summit in Paris on 4th and 5th May, an event Jersey Finance regularly attends to promote Jersey’s funds industry. The two-day conference, which is hosted at the Palais de la Bourse, features a range of speakers focusing on developments and topical issues in the hedge fund industry, as well as panel debate sessions addressing the overall outlook for the industry and financial markets.
Geoff Cook, chief executive of Jersey Finance, who will be at the event, commented:
“EuroHedge is a major event in the funds calendar and offers a prime networking opportunity to ensure delegates are aware of Jersey’s attractions as a stable, innovative centre for funds business. At the event, we’ll be highlighting recent enhancements to the regime, such as the introduction of Incorporated Limited Partnerships and Separate Limited Partnerships, how Jersey is gearing up to meet the requirements of the AIFM Directive and why a growing number of hedge fund managers are considering relocating to Jersey.
“Jersey has a well-respected funds industry and it is important to show how the funds industry is evolving to meet the ever-changing demands of investors.”
Jersey will also be represented at the event by the States of Jersey and delegates from a number of firms, including Kleinwort Benson, KPMG, Mourant Ozannes, Ogier and Vistra.
