Last week we hosted two successful events in Kenya, led by Jersey Finance’s Faizal Bhana, Director – Middle East, Africa and India,

During our first event in Mombasa we partnered with CMS Kenya | Daly Inamdar Advocates and curated a line-up of experts to discuss ‘Opportunities in Sharia-compliant Structuring for Corporates and Family Businesses’. In Nairobi, in partnership with ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna, our selected specialists provided insights on ‘Preventing and Managing Conflict in Family Businesses’.

Mombasa - Shari’a Compliance Structuring

In Mombasa our keynote speakers and panellists shared their valuable insights and perspectives on Shar’ia-compliant structures and their use in East Africa and in international finance centres (IFCs).

The invited audience also heard how Kenyan and global investors can leverage Jersey’s flexible legal system, robust regulatory regime, tax-neutral environment and growing pool of professionals with Islamic finance expertise to achieve their global investment objectives, including Shari’a-compliant investments.

Jersey’s forward-thinking IFC takes pride in assisting global investors, including those from Kenya, with specialists providing advice and support for international Shari’a-compliant investments and structures.

Nairobi - Preventing and Managing Conflict in Family Businesses

A full house at our exclusive event in Nairobi heard from a first-class range of expert keynote speakers and panellists. They discussed and explored strategies employed in preventing and managing conflict in family businesses.

Guests interacted with our speakers to find out more about the practices, solutions and strategies they used when advising family businesses in conflict.

The speakers emphasized the importance of transparency and mutual support in family dynamics for business success.

Family businesses play a vital role in Africa’s economic growth, contributing significantly to the continent’s prosperity now and in the long-term future. Jersey’s IFC is honoured to support the capacity building and learning within this important sector working with our partners on the ground in Kenya.

Thank you to all our esteemed speakers and attendees at both events and to both of our event partners ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna and CMS Kenya | Daly Inamdar Advocates.
