Kleinwort Benson’s Channel Islands Private Fiduciary team has been shortlisted for an award at the prestigious Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Private Client Awards 2010/11.

It is one of five companies shortlisted in the “Institutional Trust Company Team of the Year” award.

Within its entry Kleinwort Benson’s Private Fiduciary team had to demonstrate a clear strategic vision for the future, a strong focus on client service, dedication to ongoing Continuous Profession Development, and a broader contribution to the wider trust profession and the community as a whole.

“This is a great achievement for the Private Fiduciary teams across the Channel Islands,” said Angus Taylor, Head of Corporate & Private Fiduciary at Kleinwort Benson.

“It is testament to the hard work that the teams have put in over the last 12 months. They have worked extremely hard and really pulled together, to see us through the challenges, and a change of owner, to ensure we continue to deliver a high level of service to our clients. We were shortlisted for this award last year, but just missed out so let’s hope that this is Kleinwort Benson’s year.”

The winners will be announced by Rory Bremner at a black-tie STEP Private Client Awards ceremony at the London Hilton on Park Lane on 19 October.

The other companies shortlisted for the Institutional Trust Team of the Year Award are: Barclays Wealth, BSI Trust Companies (Bahamas), Societe General Private Banking Hambros and Messrs Hoare Trustees.

STEP is the professional body which represents nearly 15,000 trust and estate practitioners globally.
