KPMG is proud to sponsor the “The Art of Leadhership” programme at Jersey College for Girls (JCG), led by Gaëlle Deschamps.

This initiative is not just about sponsorship but also about collaboration and active involvement in the students’ development of their leadership skills.

As part of the programme, KPMG is hosting several events throughout the year for JCG students. The recent “Meet Our Female Leaders” event, held at the school, offered students the opportunity to meet and hear from KPMG female team members from various departments and backgrounds. They shared their personal leadership journeys and engaged with students, providing valuable insights into careers, motivation, and leadership.

In her opening presentation, KPMG director, Theola Byrne, who leads the Diversity & Inclusion committee within the company and heads up the programme, introduced the team: “We are here to hopefully prove that leadership is within reach for everyone, regardless of where you start. Leadership isn’t just about job titles; it’s about making an impact, staying true to yourself, and inspiring others throughout your career.”

Furthermore, several interested JCG students attended and participated in KPMG’s International Women’s Day client event.

Other events include various leadership skills training and workshops which are being held over the next couple of months.

In addition to these events, KPMG have also the following initiatives ongoing and open to all students: work experience placements, summer internships, and their sponsored IoD Future Leaders Shadowing Scheme.

Through these initiatives, KPMG aims to inspire the next generation of female leaders.
