Law firm-led professional services business Mourant has appointed two new principals leading Jersey teams as part of a mid-year promotion round.

Stephen McGrath, Managing Director, Mourant Governance Services in Jersey and Frances Webster, Managing Director, Client Accounting have both been promoted.

Stephen McGrath oversees the Mourant Governance Services business in Jersey. He has significant experience in the administration and management of structures covering a variety of different asset classes.

Frances Webster leads the Mourant Governance Services Global Client Accounting team in Jersey, and has over 30 years of experience in accountancy, commercial business and financial services. Frances has built significant expertise in running high-performing client accounting teams, managing business operating platforms, process re-engineering and change management.

In Guernsey, the firm has also promoted Alana Gillies, Counsel in the firm’s Corporate practice, to partner and Thomas Barnes, Managing Director of Mourant Governance Services, to principal.

Shane Donovan, Counsel in BVI Litigation, has been appointed to partner and Aaron Walker, Managing Director, Cayman Islands has been made principal.

These global appointments bring the firm’s total number of partners to 61.
