Mourant Ozannes in Guernsey and Jersey has maintained its position as the leading offshore law firm in the Channel Islands, following the publication of the latest International Financial Law Review (IFLR) 1000 rankings.
Mourant Ozannes is the only law firm in Jersey and Guernsey to be awarded a top tier ranking in all categories in the directory, in both Islands.
In Jersey Mourant Ozannes received acknowledgement for its dominant market position, which according to the report justifies its position at the top of the table. Leading lawyers recognised in the guide are Robert Hickling, James Hill, Jacqueline Richomme and James Ruane.
In Guernsey the guide says competitors describe Mourant Ozannes as outward facing and that its ranking reflects the view of the market. Gavin Farrell, John Lewis, Darren Bacon and David Moore were named as leading lawyers in the Guernsey office.
The IFLR rankings are compiled by dedicated specialist legal journalists based in the key centres of London, New York and Hong Kong and is the only publication of its kind to focus on the leading law firms for Corporate & Finance and Investment Funds practices worldwide.
Jonathan Rigby, Managing Partner of Mourant Ozannes, said: 'I am delighted that the hard work of our teams has been recognised by this ringing endorsement from our clients – the people who matter most to us.'
The independent research carried out by the analysts at IFLR is used to provide clients of law firms with objective, informative and easy-to-use rankings and profiles of the leading lawyers across the world. It is considered the definitive guide to the world's leading financial law firms in more than 120 markets.
