Ogier has advised on the £170 million development of the Finlaggan gas field in the North Sea by Zennor Pathway Limited.

An Ogier team led by partner Simon Dinning and senior associate Oliver Richardson has advised on the Jersey law aspects of the financing for the development.

The Finlaggan gas field was discovered in 2005 and is expected to have a peak production rate of 115 million standard cubic feet per day of gas.

Ogier advised lenders Societe Generale, working closely with onshore counsel Bracewell on the deal, whilst Pinsent Masons advised the borrower Zennor Pathway Limited.

The firm’s work included reviewing finance arrangements from a Jersey law perspective.

Simon said: “We are pleased to have advised on another significant deal in the energy sector.”

The team also included paralegal Alex Vibert from the Jersey corporate team.
