Ogier Jersey, one of the leading legal and fiduciary services providers, won three awards at the Jersey Enterprise Awards on Friday 4th March at Fort Regent. The awards that the Ogier team won are Overall Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year and the Environmental Award for Ogier House (joint award with Camerons, Ogier House builders).
The judges said that Ogier was named “Jersey Telecom Overall Business of the Year in recognition of a number of key strengths including its business awareness, people development, entrepreneurial flair, significant growth, customer service and commitment to the local community.”
Nick Kershaw, Ogier Group Chief Executive said “I would like to thank the judges for this award and everybody at Ogier Jersey: those in our legal team, those in our fiduciary team and those in our group services team. Together we make Ogier a great place to work. I am extremely proud of winning the Overall Business of the Year award as it is a real achievement to win this prestigious top award and it demonstrates that we are a great business.”
The judges of the Large Business Award, sponsored by PLAY.com looked for a business that demonstrates a commitment to invest in staff whilst making significant contributions to the local economy.
Nick Kershaw said “We are one of the island's largest private sector employers and are totally committed to Jersey. We are therefore delighted to have won the PLAY.com large business award. The competition was very strong and we are honoured to have been part of it.”
Helen Bunbury, Ogier Group Chief Operating Officer said “We were very proud to have been selected by the judging panel for the environmental award for our joint submission with Camerons the Ogier House builders. This award recognises the vision of the partners and the hard work of the Ogier team in delivering our new premises. We are showing that reducing environmental impact can be done in the context of delivering solid business benefits by making a business more cost effective to run.”
In their ninth year the awards recognise business excellence and a record number of entries were received this year. Ogier’s achievement is particularly impressive given that this is the first time awards’ history that three awards have been given to one company.
