This Christmas, Rathbones Investment Management International has donated over £7,000 to two local charities as they provide much needed support to local families and young people.

Whilst Christmas is a wonderful time for many, for some families who are supported by these two incredible charities, it is also a time of extra need and financial pressure created by expectations of the festive season. COVID-19 has made balancing the costs of living and raising a family even more precarious for many and fundraising for charities challenging.

Brighter Futures will use their donation from Rathbones to purchase vouchers from organisations such as Sandpiper, Co-op and Boots to enable their clients to choose and buy their own Christmas groceries and essential supplies.

Brightly supports 160 to 220 children and young people who are under the care of Social Services and the donation will be used to purchase Christmas presents (vouchers of their choice, a small gift and a selection box), special birthday gifts, education and training, essential items and memberships to give the opportunity for quality family time.

The donations given to Brightly Jersey and Brighter Futures were made possible from The Rathbones Brothers Foundation, a charitable fund supporting charities across the UK.
