In 2023, we hosted our inaugural Reconnect event. It highlighted a clear demand for events and opportunities in Jersey that cater to individuals seeking to re-enter the workforce or explore a new career path in the finance sector. Building on the success of last year, we hosted Reconnect again in October.
This time around, we were thrilled to welcome almost 40 Islanders to the event, reflecting the growing interest in career development within our community. Attendees included individuals from diverse career backgrounds and age groups, all eager to explore ways to reignite their careers. It was great to witness the growth of our Reconnect brand over the past year and our increasing ability to support those looking to enhance their professional journeys.
Our lineup of speakers featured experienced professionals who are thriving in the finance sector. Each shared their unique stories of career transitions, whether returning after a break or successfully navigating a change of sector. Their insights provided invaluable advice and encouragement, empowering attendees to embrace the possibilities of change.
