Elliot Refson, Head of Funds, and Philip Pirecki, Americas Lead at Jersey Finance, were interviewed recently by Private Equity International’s Buyouts team on the topic of regulatory innovation.
Buyouts is a publication focussed on private equity, private real estate, private debt and infrastructure. It provides insight to investors, fund managers and financial practitioners in the US. So, it’s the perfect platform to promote Jersey to US managers and funds professionals.
The Jersey interview, titled ‘Staying Ahead’, was published in the September issue. The discussion centred on why regulatory innovation is key to remaining relevant. Elliot and Philip began by discussing market positioning, and how regulatory innovation influences US manager decisions. They then went on to explain how Jersey continues to focus on innovation and specifically highlighted the Limited Liability Company (LLC) rules for US managers, tokenisation developments and the recent update to the Jersey Private Fund Guide.
