Our ‘Focus on Sustainable Finance’ event, hosted in partnership with Natwest Markets Singapore, Circle Capital and Fidinam, brought together financial service professionals to discuss the evolving landscape of environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations and sustainability-focussed investments.

Co-hosted by our Director – South East Asia, Yiow Chong Tan, alongside Søren Nikolasen, CEO of Natwest Markets Singapore, Ambika Behal, Managing Partner of Circle Capital, and Desiree M. Tan, Head of Asia Desk at Fidinam Singapore. The event featured a distinguished panel of speakers including Dennis Ng, CEO of Pengerang Infrastructure Development, and Raymond Cheung, CEO of Basel Medical Group, who joined the hosts in an engaging discussion on pressing sustainability issues and opportunities.
The event covered various topics, from global ESG and sustainability challenges to climate-friendly venture capital investments, sustainability-focussed family offices and case studies on luxury brands implementing ESG strategies. Other key discussions included reforestation projects in Mongolia, the role of carbon credits, ESG training, and green loans designed to support SMEs in Indonesia on their decarbonisation journeys.
Jersey aligns with global ESG frameworks as a future-focussed jurisdiction, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), the EU Taxonomy for sustainable investing activities, and the Financial Stability Board’s Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

With sustainability and responsible investing becoming increasingly critical in the global financial ecosystem, this event provided a valuable platform to explore collaborative opportunities and innovative solutions in sustainable finance.
Locally, we marked the five-year countdown to Jersey’s 2030 sustainable finance vision with our Sustainable Finance Summit. To learn more about Jersey’s positioning as a forward-thinking international finance centre, visit the Sustainable Finance Summit Hub.
