The roadshow was led by Allan Wood, our Global Head of Business Development, Elliot Refson, our Head of Funds, and Dr Rufaro Nyakatawa, our Business Development Consultant – Africa.

Dr Rufaro Nyakatawa, led two private wealth events as part of the roadshow. These events explored African entrepreneurship as a route to wealth, and how Jersey’s international finance centre (IFC), which is home to more than 40 firms already working with African clients, can support high-net worth individuals seeking offshore structuring solutions.

Across our events, Allan Wood spoke to attendees about our ‘Jersey for Good‘ sustainable finance strategy: a two-year plan to support the transition to an environmentally and socially sustainable global economy.

At our ‘Funds Focus on South Africa’ events, Elliot Refson spoke about the evolution of IFC’s and why South Africa funds matter to Jersey: South Africa represents the seventh largest pool of fund assets by country in Jersey, and Jersey is home to 78 South African funds.

During the roadshow, our delegation participated in Private Client Dining (PCD) Club networking events, sessions run by the STEP Johannesburg and Cape Town chapters, as well as attending the three-day SuperReturn Africa 2022 conference in Cape Town.

Our delegation included:
