Standard Bank has announced the appointment of Mark Hucker to the dual role of head of Standard Bank Jersey and Chief Executive Officer of Standard Bank Jersey Limited.

Over the past 20 years Mr Hucker has built up extensive offshore financial industry experience and joined Standard Bank in 2011 as Chief Risk Officer. With responsibility for the Bank’s risk management framework across three jurisdictions, Jersey, Isle of Man and Mauritius, he has played a key role at director level within the offshore group including asset management, trust, operations and fund administration.

Mark’s extensive technical knowledge across a range of finance sectors and businesses, together with his proven commitment and motivation will bring significant positive enhancements to the Jersey business and we congratulate him on his new role.”

A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, prior to joining Standard Bank, Mr Hucker was Managing Director of Key Trust, an independent Jersey based trust company. Prior to Key Trust he was Chief Operating Officer and then Managing Director of strategy and operations at Ermitage Asset Management, Jersey Limited.

Mr Hucker qualified as a chartered accountant in 1995 and obtained his Diploma in International Trust Management in 2011.
