Standard Bank is again celebrating the shortlisting of two of its fiduciary services professionals in the Citywealth 2023 Future Leaders Awards. Anna-Marie Egré has been shortlisted for the Trust Officer of the Year Award, while Sanmari Crous has been shortlisted for the Future Leader Initiative Award.

Last year, the trust team celebrated two awards, with Anna-Marie winning gold and named Trust Officer of the Year, while Ally Jaulim won bronze in the Future Leader Initiative of the Year category.

The Citywealth Future Leaders Awards, now in their ninth year, champions young professionals in the wealth sector by recognising the leaders of today and tomorrow. The programme’s philosophy is to support future leaders who excel at work but who also make an important contribution to society.

Anna-Marie is a trust relationship manager in Standard Bank’s International Fiduciary Services team. An integral member of the team which services a number of the business’s largest clients, Anna-Marie has over 10 years’ experience and is a subject matter expert on the administration of real estate portfolios. She holds a STEP Diploma in International Trust Management and is currently completing a 2-year Digital Leadership Programme with Digital Jersey. Anna-Marie has recently been selected for a 6-month secondment to Standard Bank Offshore’s Social, Economic and Environmental team.

“Anna-Marie consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and dedication to her clients,” says Michael Giraud, Head of Standard Bank’s Fiduciary Services in Jersey. “Her empathetic approach to client relationships has earned her high praise, and she has shown remarkable initiative and vision by enrolling into the Digital Jersey programme, equipping herself for the future and proving herself as a future leader with great potential.”

Sanmari Crous, who is contending for the Future Leader Initiative Award for the first time, is a Business Development Manager in the trust team. A South African qualified lawyer and Certified Financial Planner, Sanmari uses her experience and expertise to support the business in its growth strategies and has been integral to raising the business’s profile. She recently completed a postgraduate diploma with STEP in Private Client Advice and was named a 35 under 35 by eprivateclient in 2022. Outside of work, Sanmari raises funds for charity through an annual South African food and crafts event in Jersey.

“It is wonderful to have two valued members of our team in the run for this year’s Future Leaders Awards,” adds Michael. “Sanmari has significantly contributed to our team in many ways since joining Standard Bank in 2022, showcasing a proactive mindset and a focus on achieving results. Both Sanmari and Anna-Marie truly deserve this recognition, and we wish them the best of luck at the Awards Ceremony.”

Standard Bank, a leading provider of private client and corporate fiduciary services, has been establishing and administering complex and bespoke offshore fiduciary structures for over 100 years. With a robust and agile offering, they combine the strength and depth of Africa’s largest bank by assets with the flexibility of a boutique fiduciary provider.
