The winners of the tenth edition of this global awards programme were announced at a gala event on 30 March 2022 at the Sheraton Grand Park Lane in London.

‘The awards recognise companies that excel in their field within the wealth management industry. The prestigious panel of independent judges place a premium on companies that have ‘demonstrated innovation and excellence during the last year,’ the organisers say.

“I am absolutely delighted to have received this accolade,” says Michael Giraud, Head of Fiduciary Services in Jersey for the Standard Bank Group. “I believe this is testament to our team’s hard work and dedication and also to our very unique offering in the corporate trustee space.

“There are not many trust companies who operate like an independent trust company but have a shareholder with the strength and depth that we do.”

Standard Bank Offshore Trust Company Jersey Limited provide agile and robust fiduciary services to African connected and UK resident families with a global and economic footprint. With a presence in the industry in Jersey since the 1970s, the business has a wide distribution network and trusted relations with intermediaries such as lawyers and accountants across the globe.

The WealthBriefing European Awards are part of a global programme run by WealthBriefing and its sister publications WealthBriefing Asia and Family Wealth Report, encompassing the world’s major wealth management centres.

Each of the award categories is highly contested and is subject to a rigorous process before the ultimate winner is selected by the judges. It is this process that makes WealthBriefing awards so prized amongst winners.

“Being recognised for our appreciation and understanding of the structures that are relevant to address the needs in our clients’ personal and business situations is particularly gratifying,” Michael says. “We know that each family’s circumstances and needs are unique, and for this reason, each and every structure that we provide has bespoke planning and drafting. Our unique understanding of families’ needs and our exceptional staff longevity mean that our clients stay with us through generations.”
