Standard Bank’s International Fiduciary Services capped off another successful year by winning the Institutional Trust Company and Thought-Leadership awards at the inaugural WealthBriefing Channel Islands Awards 2022.

Showcasing ‘best of breed’ in the Channel Islands region, the awards have been designed to recognise outstanding organisations which the panel of judges deemed to have ‘demonstrated innovation and excellence during the last year’.

“We are extremely pleased to have been selected for an award that focuses on the client experience. It is a testament to the depth and strength of our dedicated and talented team,” said Philip Smith, Head of Investment and Fiduciary Services, who attended the gala ceremony held on 8 December 2022 in Jersey.

Michael Giraud, Head of Fiduciary Services, Jersey, added that “receiving these two awards reinforces the recognition already received earlier in the year and is a strong endorsement of our increasingly unique fiduciary offering. There are no longer many trust companies who are able to operate like an independent trust company yet have the good fortune to have a shareholder with the strength and depth of an organisation such as Standard Bank.”

As part of the largest bank in Africa and with more than 30 years in the trust industry in Jersey, Standard Bank’s International Fiduciary Services prides itself in providing a personal approach to UK resident and African connected families with a global footprint.

The WealthBriefing Channel Islands Awards are part of a global programme run by WealthBriefing and its sister publications WealthBriefingAsia and Family Wealth Report, encompassing all of the world’s major wealth management centres. Standard Bank was awarded highly commended at the start of the year in Wealthbriefing’s European awards 2022.
