Moore Stephens’ annual owner-managed business survey has been launched to capture the opinion and sentiment of business leaders and directors from owner-managed businesses across the UK and crown dependencies.
Businesses in Jersey and Guernsey are being encouraged to complete the survey by Phillip Callow, Managing Director, Moore Stephens Audit & Assurance.
“Completing the survey is a great opportunity to represent owner-managed businesses and ensure their voice is heard by decision makers. It will establish key goals and priorities for the sector both nationally and in the islands,” he said.
“Having participated in the survey for the first time last year, the survey now includes the option to select your location as ‘Channel Islands’ which means we will be able to collate and assess the responses for issues that affect us locally.”
The survey is available online http://bit.ly/2gKg8rO and should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. The survey is open until 23.59 (GMT) on 13 December 2017. Each respondent will receive the survey results and report and one respondent will be selected at random to receive a Fortnum & Mason hamper of luxury goods.
“Last year the survey found uncertainty amongst OMBs, particularly about the strength of the economy post-Brexit and the ongoing skills shortage,” said Mr Callow.
“Even so, businesses owners appeared pragmatic about their prospects and were planning to implement strategies designed to take advantage of opportunities that would arise.
“It will be interesting to see if that is still the case or if some of those strategic decisions have started to bear fruit.”
