His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor of Jersey, Lieutenant-General Andrew Ridgway, will speak on The Importance of Business – A Soldier’s Perspective, at the Jersey Chamber of Commerce’s February luncheon.
Crill Canavan is sponsoring the event, at which the Lieutenant-Governor will share his views with Jersey’s business community before he leaves the Island later this year.
With his experience of military operations around the world, Lt-Gen Ridgway’s judgement is that it is the regeneration of business in areas of conflict that eventually secures the resolution of a conflict and brings about a lasting peace.
Lt-Gen Ridgway will recount some of his experiences and attempt to draw out lessons that might have relevance to the future of business in the Island during these challenging times.
Crill Canavan’s managing partner Kathryn Purkis said: “We are very pleased to support this event and delighted that the Lieutenant-Governor will be sharing his experience with Jersey’s business community.
“Lt-Gen Ridgway has had a long and distinguished military career and now, as he nears the end of his five-year appointment as the Queen’s representative in Jersey, will be able to share a unique insight.”
The luncheon is on Wednesday 16 February 2011at the Pomme d’Or Hotel.
