During his three-day visit, His Excellency attended a series of events and meetings which aimed to strengthen the business, tourism, and government ties between Jersey and UAE.

The Ambassador was hosted by the Lieutenant Governor, His Excellency Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton GCB, at Government House during his visit. The Ambassador also attended a dinner hosted by the Bailiff, Timothy Le Cocq, at the Maritime Museum as well as meeting the Chief Minister, Senator John Le Fondré, and the Minister for External Relations and Financial Services, Senator Ian Gorst.

Mr. Abulhoul also met representatives from Jersey Finance, Jersey Business, Jersey Heritage and Jersey Electricity, and visited the assisted mobility bike centre as Les Quennevais. As a keen cyclist, His Excellency learned more about Jersey Sport’s ‘Move More’ programme during a cycle from St Aubin to Corbière.

Senator Gorst commented:

“Jersey enjoys strong links with the UAE and it was a pleasure to welcome the Emirati Ambassador to the Island. Building on the success of visits to the Emirates in previous years, there was much to discuss as we continue to broaden and develop our ties with the UAE as part of our Global Relations Strategy.”

His Excellency, Mansoor Abulhoul said:

“The United Arab Emirates highly values its relationship with Jersey and this visit has showcased the multitude of areas in which we collaborate. From financial services, to shared cultural ties, it has been a true privilege to visit the Island and see the ways in which the UAE and Jersey share such a positive connection, and to explore how we can further build upon this. I thoroughly look forward to my many future visits.”
