The world’s top 50 professional male and female triathletes will be battling for glory at SLT’s kick-off Championship event in Jersey on 29 and 30 September. In addition, the organising team have introduced new Age Group races and extended the amount of Corporate Mix teams to engage more of the local community in the event. Thanks to the support of companies such as UBS in Jersey, more people will be able to take part in the triathlon and there will be numerous activities for all the family.

SLT is a spectator friendly experience and over 10,000 people enjoyed the event in Jersey last year. With the help of the JT FANZONE this year, there will be a festival vibe to the weekend. Additionally, UBS will be giving their private clients an exclusive view of the event from a prime viewing location to catch all the race action over the weekend where they’ll have the chance to see top triathletes, such as Jonny and Alistair Brownlee and Flora Duffy, competing in the thrilling races around the gruelling course.

Super League Triathlon gives triathlon fans an action-packed and up-close sports experience. From the moment that Jersey won the right to host in 2017, the aim was not just to promote the SLT weekend in Jersey but encourage the world to fall in love with Jersey by making full use of the opportunities to promote #theislandbreak.

UBS’s Executive Director, Michael Clarke, says:

‘We are excited to be sponsoring this fantastic event for the second year running. Super League Triathlon is broadcast worldwide and brings positive international attention to the Island. It’s a wonderful showcase for Jersey and an inspiring event for locals and visitors alike. We are looking forward to attending the action-packed weekend and putting on a unique event for our clients. Having the chance to see so many Olympic level athletes in such close proximity is a real honour and we can’t wait to be a part of it again this year.’

Super League Triathlon co-founder and CEO, Michael D’Hulst says:

‘We are grateful to again receive support from UBS in Jersey. Their backing has helped us to return to the Island again this year with a bigger and better event for both athletes and spectators. We have added a new Age Group category and we are also bringing over Europe’s best youth and junior triathletes to compete, so it’s going to be an even more exciting event. We hope everyone marks out the dates in their diary and gives everyone participating a true Jersey welcome.’
