‘Tokenization: The Future for Real Assets’ was the title of the event that we sponsored – an important topic to explore and another opportunity to highlight Jersey’s appeal to US funds professionals. Tokenization is projected to grow at a CAGR of 18.9% to 2030 (Polaris Market Research) and is beginning to impact all asset classes, so it was keenly discussed by the panel members and delegates at the event. Jersey Finance’s Head of Funds Elliot Refson made the welcoming remarks at the event, followed by an address by Simon Osborn, CEO of IFI Global.

The panel members at the event were:

  • Daniel Coheur, Co-Founder & COO, Tokeny
  • Maria Jose Dobles Madrigal, Senior Associate, King & Spalding
  • Dan Miller, Senior Managing Director, IQ-EQ
  • Ashraf Rizvi, Founder & CEO, Gilded
  • Philip Pirecki, Lead for the Americas, Jersey Finance

The IFI event was followed by a US dinner hosted by Jersey Finance, where Philip and Elliot welcomed a good mix of investment managers, lawyers and service providers to discuss current events and the outlook for 2023 from the alternatives space.

Further events in the US are scheduled for the rest of this year.

Following the introduction of new limited liability company legislation (LLC) in Jersey this week, much promotional effort in the US will be centred around raising awareness of this important development. For information on the Jersey LLC, please go to our factsheet.
