Ward Yates acted in conjunction with Charles Russell Speechlys to advise Singapore listed construction and development conglomerate, Lum Chang Holdings, on its £52.6m corporate acquisition of 130 Wood Street, London from Land Securities.

The property is a 61,000 sq ft city block, which is bounded by Wood Street, Cheapside and Gutter Lane and is held through a Jersey property unit trust.

Ward Yates provided Jersey legal advice on all aspects of the acquisition in addition to carrying out due diligence on the structure.

Nick Ward, Partner, commented: “Having advised Lum Chang in February of this year on the sale of 42-62 Kensington High Street to Urban Retail V, we were delighted to be able to work with them and the Charles Russell Speechlys team again, this time on an acquisition”.
