This year saw thousands of funds and investment industry professionals head to the city. Jersey Finance was proud to sponsor a number of events during this time, and our Head of Funds, Elliot Refson, and Americas Lead, Philip Pirecki, were delighted to connect with fund managers, fund administrators, lawyers, and a range of entrepreneurs there.

All events were extremely well attended, with a number of firms with operations in Jersey joining too, including Carey Olsen, Gilded, Ogier and Zedra.

Event on the Digitalisation of Assets

  • Daniel Strachman, Managing Partner, A&C Advisors
  • Eryka Gemma, Founder, Timelock Ventures

Events with AYU

Jersey Finance was also delighted to sponsor a lunch and a brunch event with AYU on two consecutive days. AYU is a private members club that connects a global community of hedge funds, family offices and alternative investment professionals via a dedicated digital platform and networking events around the world.

Elliot and Philip were able to connect with AYU members and highlight the appeal of using Jersey for funds and for private wealth management.

Some key points emerged from the discussions at the various events. More and more emerging fund managers are looking to raise capital in Europe. Miami is becoming one of the fastest-growing cities in the US, and the most dynamic place for cross-border finance. Finally, there is significant potential growth for Jersey’s funds industry there, and Miami should become a routine stop for Jersey firms travelling to the region.
