New UK Market Abuse legislation comes into effect on 3 July and will impact everyone who advises clients on London and other European Stock Exchanges' investments and trades.

Carey Olsen is hosting seminars in Jersey and Guernsey explaining the impact of the new regime. Guest speakers include Freshfields’ Jonathan Baird and William Saunders and Katherine Dillon from Stephenson Harwood.

The speakers will explain the main differences from the existing regime, discuss the implications for those who do not comply and offer practical suggestions of the steps that can be taken to ensure compliance. The event will be of particular interest to non-executive directors (NEDs) and administrators appointed in relation to London-listed Jersey funds.

Carey Olsen partner James Mulholland said: " This new legislation will touch everyone involved in listed funds – NEDs, boards and directors, administrators, fund managers, investors and anyone involved in family office work. It's so important to keep up to date with developments but it can be tricky for finance professionals to extract the key information. This event offers a great opportunity to come and hear from industry experts who will hone in on the most pertinent points to consider."

The seminar takes place on Thursday 30 June at 11am at The Royal Yacht Hotel in Jersey. The Guernsey event takes place at The Old Government House Hotel on Wednesday 29 June from 5pm. To register or for more information, please contact
