Twenty seven year old Chris is currently ranked at number 20 in the world, having risen an amazing nine places since last year. Born and educated in Guernsey, Chris represented England as a junior and is now based in Harrogate having turned professional in 2005.

This once in a lifetime coaching experience has been organised for the local youngsters by Rathbones, one of the main sponsors of the PSA Jersey Squash Classic, now in its second year, taking place from Tuesday 20th May through until Sunday 25th May 2014.

In addition to being an associate sponsor of the PSA Jersey Squash Classic, Rathbones has funded Chris Simpson’s attendance at the tournament. Chris will be sporting a kit bearing the Rathbones logo for the duration of the tournament and it is hoped that he makes it through to the finals despite the competitive line up.

Discussing the sponsorship Jonathan Giles, managing director of Rathbone Investment Management International said “We are delighted to once again offer Jersey youngsters the opportunity to not only watch world class squash but also get involved and gain a real insight into professional sport and the attitude and dedication required to exceed – an approach which can be applied in many areas of life.”
