ZEDRA Jersey has been shortlisted for the WealthBriefing European Awards 2017. The shortlisting comes just a year after the launch of the new ZEDRA brand following the acquisition of Barclays’ Trust business in 2016.
The Jersey arm of the ZEDRA Group has been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Independent Trust or Fiduciary Company Award’. The company has had a dominant first year after being the first global trust business to be acquired without a private equity backer in many years. ZEDRA Jersey are differentiated in the market by their independence and have seen rapid growth throughout 2016 with a team of 140 now employed in the Island.
Showcasing ‘best of breed’ providers in the global private banking, wealth management and trusted advisor communities, the Awards are designed to recognise companies, teams and individuals which the prestigious panel of judges deemed to have ‘demonstrated innovation and excellence during 2016’.
Winners will be announced at a gala awards dinner, which will be held in London on 11 May at The Guildhall.
ClearView Financial Media’s Chief Executive, and Publisher of WealthBriefing, Stephen Harris, was first to extend his congratulations to the shortlisted firm. He says:
‘The firms who have been shortlisted in these awards are all worthy competitors, and I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations. These awards are judged on the basis of entrants’ submissions and their response to a number of specific questions, which had to be answered focusing on the client experience, not quantitative performance metrics. That is a unique, and I believe, compelling feature. These awards will recognise the very best operators in the private client industry, with ‘independence’, ‘integrity’ and ‘genuine insight’ the watchwords of the judging process – such that the awards truly reflect excellence in wealth management.’
Commenting on the firms shortlisting, Ashley Cox, Managing Director, ZEDRA Jersey, says:
‘We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award. It’s been a formative and impressive 12 months for us at ZEDRA Jersey and our success and growth is testament to the hard work that the team have put in. I couldn’t be prouder of our team and the standards we have set and upheld on behalf of our clients. Our ethos ‘Do More. Achieve More’ is something we truly believe in and our commitment to our clients is at the forefront of everything we do. It is a great honour to be recognised in the shortlist for the WealthBriefing European Awards 2017 and we are pleased to be representing Jersey and promoting the high standards of our local industry.’
