Overview

What is the opportunity?

Based in Jersey, Channel Islands the Custody Solutions team provides global tailored custody and banking solutions. Our international client base includes traditional and alternative fund promoters, Investment Managers, Private Institutional clients, companies, and institutions.

You will be accountable for the entire client service delivery to assigned clients to add value and to grow strategic client relationships ensuring standards committed to in our Service Level Standards (SLS) are met and where appropriate exceeded. Earn the right to be our client’s custodian of choice, and to act as a corporate ambassador, making contributions to enhance RBCs position and image within the marketplace, clients, regulators and community.

What will you do?

Project work and system enhancement support as determined
/required for the custody solution team.

Rotate across all clients to provide support and cover wherever required within custody solutions.

Ensure all client records are actively maintained and updated in accordance with regulatory and RBC requirements in particular, privacy, KYC, and AML procedures.

Monitor and review day to day service administration for each assigned client in accordance with terms of the Service Level Standards and client expectations.

Administration will entail client query tracking and resolution, execution of unit trust, hedge fund and alternative investments.

Support with transactions, DVP settlement, payments, Foreign Exchange (FX), time deposits, credit facilities, reporting amongst others.

Liaise and negotiate with other RBC departments to provide solutions to our clients to ensure an overall quality service.

Maintain sound and up to date knowledge of RBC Computer systems to effectively support and explain to existing and potential clients.

Ensure a clear client instruction is received at all times and processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Monitor working practices to identify and implement change to create value or eliminate risk.

Play a leading role in introducing to the department new business or related sales.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

Strong Banking / Securities experience.

Proven experience of successfully meeting client demands and building strong client relationships.

Proven organisation and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal.

Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, GPBOL Salesforce.

Nice-to-have

Experience in a similar position.

Willingness to undertake relevant securities qualifications.
