Overview

A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Financial Risk and Reporting Senior Associate to join our high performing internal finance team at PwC CI. You will act as a key support for financial reporting and financial operations.
Our Financial Risk and Reporting team is an integral part of the Finance and Procurement function. They ensure robust financial management and compliance, oversee financial reporting and mitigate financial risks. They also support maintaining the integrity of financial operations, are proactive, honest and collaborative. Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Financial Risk and Reporting Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing outsourced activities related to accounts payable and receivable, support calculations of accounting estimates, financial reporting and annual audits, both external and internal.

Accounts Payable:
• Oversee outsourced Accounts Payable function, including invoice management, supplier onboarding, compliance and payments.
• Manage payment authorisation process.
• Manage dispute resolutions.
• Manage staff expenses reimbursements processes and payments

Accounts Receivable:
• Oversee outsourced Accounts Receivable function, including the management of daily cash receipts.
• Manage return of funds.
• Manage cash flow forecasting.

Financial reporting:
• Oversee financial bookkeeping for both main LLP and subsidiary companies
• Assist in preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments schedules and other accounting estimates
• Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations including bank, balance sheet and credit cards.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements (IFRS) and accompanying working papers for both main LLP and subsidiary companies.
• Oversee fixed assets management.
• Performing other tasks as assigned by the Finance Risk and Report Lead.

Qualifications & Certifications:
• Qualified accountant with recognised accounting body.

Skills & Experience Required:
Essential skills
• Able to demonstrate application of accounting standards with focus on financial reporting and analysis.
• Technology minded individual with strong commercial awareness and analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Action oriented self-starter, focused on continuous improvement in process efficiency and driving change through technology.
• Evidence of building and sustaining strong relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable skills
• Familiarity with accounting softwares including SAP and Sage
• PowerBI experience

Travel Requirements:
You will be required to make short trips from time to time to the firm’s office in Guernsey and possibly also the UK Firm’s offices in London.
