Our Marketing and Business Development pillar plays a crucial role in ensuring that our brand values and services give us a competitive edge and remain highly regarded by our clients, business leaders and the public.

The pillar aligns its efforts with the broader business strategy to deliver impactful marketing and business development services for the Channel Islands firm. The team is responsible for a broad spectrum of activities, ranging from strategy development to campaign execution, all designed to support the wider business and various Lines of Service. The team collaborates closely with the Clients and Markets team and acts as custodians of the PwC brand, enhancing the firm’s reputation as an Employer of Choice.

PwC Channel Islands Overview:
PwC is a highly dynamic professional services firm offering Advisory, Tax, Audit and other assurance services to a large portfolio of international and local clients. The Channel Islands firm employs 600+ staff in offices across Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney and is part of an international network of 151 PwC firms employing over 364,000 staff.

Purpose of the role:
The successful candidate will report to the Marketing Manager and work with the broader team to deliver digital marketing campaigns and promotional activities that position PwC as a leader in the industry and as the local employer of choice. This ranges from campaigns promoting our services to recruitment drives to promoting our CSR and D&I initiatives.

Principal duties and responsibilities:
• Website: understand user experience and user design to work closely with the global web team to develop and manage content changes on the Channel Islands website.
• Social media marketing: manage and create content for the Channel Islands social media channels, including PwC’s employee advocacy platform SproutSocial.
• Asset creation and editing: design visually appealing collateral for print, web and social media including video editing, while adhering to global network brand guidelines.
• Data analytics: analysing and reporting on the effectiveness of digital marketing activity.
• External agencies: collaborate with a number of external agencies including creative agencies, media schedulers and filmmakers to develop and produce digital campaigns.
• Email marketing: assist in creating email marketing campaigns using Marketing Cloud and Salesforce, liaising with various departments to produce content.
• Media monitoring: monitor and report on PwC and key competitor media (incl social) profiles.

Essential skills required for the role:
• Experience working in a Marketing environment, with a professional Marketing qualification (degree level or otherwise).
• Confident using design packages such as Adobe package, Premier Pro, Indesign, Photoshop, AI.
• Ability to understand and work within very high brand compliance standards.
• Strong marketing skills with a proven track record of working in this environment.
• Strong copywriting and communication skills, with high attention to detail.
• A mix of creative and analytical abilities.
• Adaptability and agility whilst working across broader areas of marketing.
• An excellent team player who can also use their own initiative.

Desirable skills and qualification required for the role:
• Experience with online analytics software, including Adobe Experience Cloud, would be beneficial.
• Experience in PPC and an understanding of SEO best practices.
• A Degree in Marketing or Creative subject or relevant qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a creative digital marketing environment.
