Cyber and Data Collaboration
We will be hosting a Cyber and Data Security Awareness Forum for our Members. Open to those responsible for cyber and/or data security, the forum aims to raise finance industry awareness of cyber and data security through open collaboration between Jersey Finance Members, leading to enhanced best practice among industry. South Africa Stay “Open for Business”
To keep our Africa focussed activity moving forward following our South African roadshow events in Q4 last year, we placed a commentary news piece in one of South Africa’s biggest online business platforms.
Blockchain and Fund Distribution
On Monday 4 March we will be hosting a fintech roundtable for leaders in Jersey’s funds sector to discuss the opportunities and impacts for the Island’s funds business arising from blockchain technology. To find out more and secure a place contact Adam Brown.
Jersey Personal Tax Review Survey
A reminder that the Treasury is running a survey as part of a review of the Island’s personal income tax system. The survey runs until 28 February and all Members are encouraged to take part. Proposals for changes to the personal tax system in Jersey are expected to be lodged in summer 2019.
No Deal Brexit Planning
The Government of Jersey and the JFSC have written to local businesses to draw their attention to the growing importance of No Deal Brexit planning.
