Jersey is a ‘third country’ from a European Union perspective. Therefore, the full scope of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) need not apply. We provide third-country access to EU investors through National Private Placement Regimes (NPPR).

Earlier this year, after swift collaboration with industry and the regulator, Jersey’s government approved a new amendment to Jersey’s legislation that will make it easier for fund managers to migrate limited partnership fund structures – commonly used for private equity funds – to Jersey.
