March brought the good news of the ECOFIN decision that Jersey is a cooperative financial jurisdiction. The BREXIT D-Day has been and gone following the European Council’s decision to extend the period under Article 50. The UK Government were due to debate on 4 March 2019 the amendments to the Financial Services (Implementation of Legislation) Bill which would seek to compel the crown dependencies to introduce public registers of beneficial ownership.
