Finance Manager
About the team
PwC Channel Islands has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join its Core Finance team. PwC is a highly dynamic professional services firm offering Advisory, Tax, Audit and other assurance services to a large portfolio of international and local clients. The Channel Islands firm employs nearly 500 staff in offices across Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney and is part of an international network of 156 PwC firms employing over 295,000 staff.
About the role
As the Finance Manager you will be part of a team of twelve. You should have good business, technical and commercial skills.
The successful candidate will report to the Finance Senior Manager, and be part of a wider operations team working across all three islands. You will develop a network of key finance contacts, within the Channel Islands and the UK, build strong relationships and develop new skills.
Responsibilities
● You will manage the members of the finance team responsible for:
○ Staff expenses
○ Cash receivables; and
○ Monthly cash reconciliations and controls
● Your responsibilities will include:
○ Preparation of monthly cash forecasts
○ Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments schedules
○ Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reconciliations
○ Assisting in preparation of annual financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries
○ Assisting with annual budgeting process
○ And other tasks as assigned by the Finance Senior Manager
Requirements
● Experience working in a finance or accounting related function previously for a period of at least three years
● An accounting qualification
● Strong analytical and numerical skills
● Strong technical skills and agile across multiple platforms and systems
● Focused on continuous improvement in all areas of their work
● A strong relationship builder who builds trust in key stakeholders
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Proactive, self-motivated and able to take responsibility for own work, be interested in self-development
Right to work in Jersey
● Due to licence restrictions, we are ideally looking for an individual who is entitled to work in Jersey, however non-local applicants will be considered
Additional information
● This is an office based role with the opportunity of flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home occasionally
● Occasional travel/overnight may be required.
