Post Title: Manager – Marketing
Permanent, full-time position, preferably in Jersey
This role is aimed at an experienced marketer with a few years working in a relevant Marketing management role, preferably (but not essentially) in the financial services industry.
Purpose of the role
The successful candidate will work with the Marketing and Communications Director and broader team to deliver Marketing services to the Channel Islands firm which are aligned to the wider business strategy.
Our Marketing team focuses on the below five sections of the business:
● External market profile, positioning and impact in close collaboration with our Clients and Markets team.
● Marketing strategy to support our key business propositions e.g. ESG and People and Organisation.
● CSR, to include our area leading on PwC Hive Hackers Programme, which delivers digital skill sets to school children across the Channel Islands.
● Employer brand of choice positioning through effective Recruitment Marketing campaigns, where Inclusion and Diversity is at the heart of our values.
● Internal Communications, orchestrating communications to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, consistency and relevance to different target audiences in the firm, using multiple channels to
achieve maximum impact internally.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
● A key role in the day-to-day team management, with a proper team communications’ structure in place
to ensure high quality task completion by key deadlines.
● Key point of contact with Marketing and Communications Director regarding Marketing briefings and
upcoming projects.
● Responsibility for Marketing team delivery of well thought out Marketing analytics on a quarterly basis,
which can be fed into the senior leadership team.
● Support in shaping the Marketing strategy around the five-year business strategy of PwC CI. In doing so,
always be clear about how our decisions contribute to our PwC Purpose and ensure we are engaging with
our clients in the digital age.
● Help develop and roll-out the PR element of the CI business strategy – supporting PwC locally/ in UK/
globally, where appropriate.
● Developing a planned local media schedule, building good relationships with editors and advertisers of
local publications.
● Provide Marketing support to the business in respect of our local CSR strategy, ensuring we promote the
firm’s values, ethics, and policies in the various initiatives we invest in across both Islands.
● Collaborate with recruitment marketing colleagues to support the effective delivery of Recruitment
Marketing campaigns throughout the year.
● Supporting PwC CI in setting the standard to which others aspire when it comes to the quality of our
events and sponsorships.
● Work closely with the wider tax, advisory and assurance teams, ensuring the broad depth of
international expertise available in the CI is well-profiled.
● Be involved in various internal comms projects and ensure certain behaviours filter through the business
e.g. global brand reputation.
Requirements for the role
● Excellent marketing skills with a proven track record working in this field
● Effective leadership and decision-making skills
● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, confident dealing with senior stakeholders
both within and outside the business
● Ability to understand and work within very high brand compliance standards
● A mix of creative and analytical abilities
● Adaptability and agility when it comes to working across broader areas of marketing
● An excellent team player who is confident in using their own initiative
● Evidence of a professional Marketing qualification (degree level or otherwise).
Team Structure
This role reports to the Marketing and Communications Director for PwC Channel Islands. Two full-
time Senior Associates and one full-time Associate are also permanent members of the team. We also
have the support of one PA in Guernsey and are currently looking to recruit one Recruitment
Marketing Senior Associate in either Jersey or Guernsey.
