Role summary:
The Senior Manager is a key member of the Funds & institutional team. The role holder will be responsible for manage a varied client portfolio and will have responsibility for the successful delivery of exceptional service to these clients.

Key Responsibilities:
To supervise a team of accountants, allocate work as appropriate and provide coaching to help the accountants develop their technical knowledge and skills
Manage a varied portfolio of clients to ensure that accounting records are maintained in accordance with relevant accounting standards, all reconciliations are up to date and financial statements are signed off on a timely basis.
Review annual financial statements prepared in accordance with FRS102, IFRS, or US GAAP and organise sign off by the Director.
Review management accounts and VAT/CIS returns for Client Entities
Ensure that accounting records for new Managed entities are established in a timely manner.
Dealing with the fund obligations such as transfer agency and compliance with fund procedures etc.
Co-ordinate audits of Managed Entities, where applicable and prepare technical support papers as required by auditors.
Carry out regular reviews to ensure that all bank accounts and investment portfolios have been reconciled in accordance with the Company’s procedures and that all reconciling items are satisfactorily resolved.
Ensure that Jersey tax computations are prepared and filed in a timely manner for all Managed Entities for which this is appropriate.
Assist in maintaining a status report for all clients’ accounts preparation.
Provide on the job coaching, supervision and technical support to the accounting team in the preparation of accounts for Managed Entities.
Build and maintain positive relationships with existing clients, and support with business development activities for new client mandates.
Assist with organising regular accounting team meetings.
Manage and support the accounting team in their professional exams, where relevant.

Skills and experience:
Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in the finance industry.
Must hold a suitable professional qualification (ICSA, ACA, ACCA etc.).
Be capable of working autonomously.
Experience managing or supervising a team.
Previous experience working on Luxembourg clients and structures desirable.
Exposure to Debt, Real Estate and Private Equity preferable.
