Responsibilities
Description of the Business Line or Department
The purpose of the Fiduciary department is to deliver a high-quality trust and company administration service to the underlying client base in the most cost effective and commercial manner for the ultimate shareholder.
The business line has SG Trust Asia, SGKH Trust CI Limited and SGKH Trust London within its scope.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
To demonstrate a thorough understanding of your personal fiduciary responsibility to protect the client, yourself, and the business.
To have regulatory oversight of their Pods officers and administrators, ensuring input is provided to the PCD on a regular basis to allow the Pod to be adequately resourced and equipped to provide a high-quality service within a regulatory compliant framework and achieving corporate objectives in a risk-controlled environment.
To encourage a culture of upholding the Kleinwort Hambros values and act as a role model to the team
Report any concerns/breaches and HR issues to the Private Client Director and escalate to the Head of Private Client Directors or the CEO.
To deliver against annual personal and pods financial budgets and other non-financial indicators as set by the CEO of the Trust.
To manage their assigned relationships with clients, intermediaries, and other stakeholders.
To provide input and support as necessary to their Pod reports and PCD and other department/business lines.

Summary of responsibilities
Relationship Management:
Maintain good awareness of client circumstances, overseeing, via the Pod reports, that client profiles are regularly reviewed to ensure that their changing needs are being met.
Keep assigned clients appraised of technical, tax & legislative changes that may affect their Fiduciary structures.
Manage conflicts within assigned clients and mediate where required – suggest solutions to problems in so far as they affect the preservation of their wealth.
Oversee and make decisions in relation to assets held within assigned Fiduciary structures.
Encourage cross selling across the business to provide best possible client offering and maximise returns to Kleinwort Hambros as a whole.
Team Management:
Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Fiduciary business by being an active member of the business line.
Assist in driving the implementation of a best-in-class operational strategy and business plans for the Fiduciary business whilst inputting into the revenue and costs against team targets.
Ensure that your Pod delivers on the financial and non-financial targets that have been agreed annually with the CEO and the Head of Private Clients.
Provide management, leadership, development, and assessment of pod members.

Contribute and achieve personal and team targets reviewing at monthly intervals throughout the year with their direct reporting line.

Overdue PCRs in the Pod
Overdue Accounts in the Pod

Red KPIs
Teamwork:
Work within pods to help identify areas for improvement.
Support team and act as back up where required.
Work with Product Specialists, support staff and other relevant groups to ensure that the client proposition is effectively fulfilled.
Business/Market Knowledge:
Develop and sustain a thorough knowledge of Fiduciary products and services of the private Bank/Corporate Bank and to agree strategy within the team to ensure that relevant clients are targeted with best product and service information.
Keep up to date with developments within the Fiduciary industry to ensure that Kleinwort Hambros is a leading supplier within the industry.
Develop and sustain a broad technical knowledge across products and services of the Bank to ensure business is supported.
Update personal knowledge of intermediary/wealth management market, ensuring that the reputation of Kleinwort Hambros is upheld to the highest level possible in terms of compliance and reputation internally and externally and to consider treating customers fairly.
Internal Control:
Maintain full, accurate files/notes of all meetings/calls/conversations using KH systems to store.
Maintain the pipeline management tool.
Ensure Pod compliance with Fiduciary policies and procedures and department controls.
Profile Required
Competencies
Relevant Trust and Company experience and qualifications to fulfil the role
Relationship management skills – proven ability to build and sustain client relationships
Thorough understanding of the relevant laws relating to ‘Trust Company Business’ in the role location
Sound understanding of the duties and responsibilities of a Fiduciary
Strong understanding of industry best practice in relation to Trust and Company administration
Ability to demonstrate effective communication and relationship skills
Good numeracy skills and ability to understand trust and company legal documents
Attention to detail and accuracy
Proven track record in management of people and work loads
