‘Together We Shine Day: Ask the Experts!’ is a complimentary information clinic for Islanders at the newly opened Santander Work Café on Friday 4 June. Join us by booking a 20-minute session between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm on the day to speak with an expert about your personal finance or career needs, free of charge!

Walk-in appointments will be available but to avoid disappointment, please book in advance.

Please note, each session is intended to last for a maximum of 20-minutes. We want to support as many Islanders as possible, so please do not book consecutive sessions with the same expert.

Wayne leads our Retail and Private Banking segments, of which Mortgages is a key strategic focus. His role with Santander International builds upon a 25 year career in financial services, with Director level responsibility across a broad range of disciplines including retail and private banking, investment advice and management, fiduciary services and real estate. Wayne has worked on three continents and joined the bank from Standard Chartered in Jersey, where he was responsible for business development of their Priority segment.

John Burns

John Burns Work Café Director, Santander Work Café

As Work Café Director, John is responsible for delivering a new and innovative experience within the Work Café. John has worked for Santander International for over 10 years. His significant experience as a Relationship Manager, looking after local and international HNW customers leaves him well positioned to support Santander International banking customers. In addition, running this pioneering branch has given John the opportunity to promote the unique benefits of the Work Café to enable local businesses and community groups to prosper.

Alistair Rothwell (FCA)

Alistair Rothwell (FCA) Managing Director, Bracken Rothwell

Alistair is the Managing Director of Bracken Rothwell and responsible for several areas of the business, including accounts preparation and audit services for local firms. Additionally, Alistair keeps himself grounded with services to our local trading clients. He is also on the Boards of several local businesses in a non-executive director capacity. He is very active in the local pensions market providing tax and structuring advice to local and international clients. Alistair is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Sam Dillon (ACA)

Sam Dillon (ACA) Manager of Accountancy - Business Support, Bracken Rothwell

Sam is the Manager of the Accountancy, Business Support (including Bookkeeping and Payroll Services) and Liquidations teams at Bracken Rothwell. In addition to supervising these teams, he is closely involved in supporting clients with more complex accounting requirements with reporting, project work and systems development. Sam is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Sarah Collier (ATT)

Sarah Collier (ATT) Assistant Tax Manager, Bracken Rothwell

Sarah is an Assistant Tax Manager at Bracken Rothwell with the responsibility for supervising daily activities of the tax team. As Assistant Tax Manager, she is responsible for preparing Jersey and UK personal and company tax returns, dealing with correspondence from clients and HM Revenue & Customs, as well as assisting with other tax projects. Sarah has the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification and is now studying towards the Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualification.

Jodie Le Cornu

Jodie Le Cornu Investment Administrator, Quilter Cheviot

Jodie grew up in Jersey and was educated at Jersey College for Girls, then Hautlieu School. She joined Quilter Cheviot in March 2020 and has over 6 years’ experience working in Financial Services and Wealth Management. Jodie's role is primarily to provide administrative support to the Investment Managers and Business Development Team. She has completed her Award in Financial Planning and is currently studying towards her Investment Advice Diploma. Jodie is on the training programme with Quilter Cheviot which provides a pathway to becoming an Investment Manager. In Jodie’s spare time she likes to be by the sea.

Tom Hiles

Tom Hiles Trainee Investment Manager, Quilter Cheviot

Tom joined Quilter Cheviot in 2020 and has 4 years' experience in Financial Services, having previously completed the graduate scheme of a Jersey trust company. Tom holds the Diploma in Offshore Finance and the Investment Advice Diploma. His primary role is to assist the team with the ongoing management and administration of client portfolios.

Daniel Joliffe

Daniel Joliffe Investment Manager, Quilter Cheviot

Dan's primary role is to manage discretionary and advisory investment portfolios across multiple asset classes for private clients, financial intermediaries and trustees. Dan has over 13 years experience in the financial services industry and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.

Damien Maltwood

Damien Maltwood Investment Manager, Quilter Cheviot

Damien’s main role is to construct and manage investment portfolios for private clients, trusts and institutions. By constructing portfolios using a different mix of asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income and Alternatives), Damien ensures the correct balance of growth versus risk is achieved for each individual client. Within each portfolio he can then further ensure the client's objectives are met by focusing the portfolio on income or capital growth and take into account of any restrictions the client may have, whether driven by ethical/religious considerations or tax. Damien has over 25 years experience in the investment management industry, including over 10 years at Quilter Cheviot. He is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.

Dr James Cooke

Dr James Cooke Head of Global Equities (International), Ashburton Investments

Dr James Cooke is Head of Global Equities (International). James joined Ashburton Investments from Asset Risk Consultants (ARC) where he was an Investment Consultant responsible for advising high net worth clients, trusts and charities on investment strategy, strategic asset allocation and discretionary fund manager selection. Previously he was based in Edinburgh, as an Investment Manager with SVM Asset Management where he spent seven years working on their World Equity strategy and providing ideas for other funds. During his time at SVM, the firm was consistently ranked within the top 10 UK based fund manager groups by FundCalibre. Prior to this he was a full member of the investment committee at Edinburgh Partners, recently acquired by Franklin Templeton, then managing over $10bn of global equity investments.

Heather Audoire

Heather Audoire Director of Enterprise and Professional Studies, Highlands College

Works with all Directors and Heads of Departments to ensure the College is achieving income targets, as well as heading up Highlands Professional, where professional courses are provided for businesses and industry. Heather also heads up the marketing, events and business development sections of the college supporting the marketing of our college and development of new business and events.
