We’re delighted to invite you to the Jersey Finance: Fintech Lunch and Learn session, which will be held virtually from 1pm  – 2pm on Tuesday 28 March.

During this session you will hear from Jersey Finance and our key partners, including the JFSC and Digital Jersey, who will provide an update on their plans in relation to fintech for the year. This virtual event takes the place of our Fintech Update Day and will give an insight on the strategic priorities, initiatives, and plans for the next 12 months, as well as providing an opportunity to ask questions to Jersey Finance, JFSC and Digital Jersey.

Nathalie Andersson › Strategy and Research Manager, Jersey Finance

Nathalie joined Jersey Finance in January 2022 as a Strategy and Research Manager with a specific focus on Fintech.

Prior to joining Jersey Finance, Nathalie worked as an Assurance Manager at PwC in Jersey with a special interest in digital transformation and regulatory matters across the financial services industry.

Nathalie was born and educated in Sweden, studying Law at the School of Business, Economic and Law at the University of Gothenburg followed by Entrepreneurship and Business Design at Chalmers University of Technology, before relocating to Jersey in 2016.

Frank De Mita

Frank De Mita Associate Director Financial Services, Government of Jersey

Frank De Mita is Associate Director, Financial Services for the Government of Jersey, focussed on delivery of the Government’s objectives of facilitating RegTech / FinTech adoption in Jersey. Prior to joining Government, he worked as an AML/CFT compliance consultant, as legal and technical consultant to JFL, and as lecturer on international financial regulation. A US lawyer, prior to relocating to the UK he was a corporate tax and banking attorney in Washington, DC later serving on Capitol Hill as a US Senate staffer.

Tom Shaw

Tom Shaw Senior Policy Advisor, Jersey Financial Services Commission

Tom recently joined the JFSC as a Senior Adviser in the Innovation Hub, which sits within the wider Policy unit. The Innovation Hub’s primary focus is to help entities navigate the regulatory landscape, which we achieve through open and active engagement with businesses innovating within financial services. Currently the majority of queries the Hub receives relate to either RegTech or Virtual Assets. The Hub is also an important resource for international cooperation in which we aim to build on the existing strong working relationships the commission has with peer regulators in other jurisdictions. By background Tom is a Chartered Accountant (ICAS) having qualified with PwC before spending 3 years working in a Risk function at Standard Bank.

Daniella Gingell

Daniella Gingell Policy Advisor - Policy and Risk, Jersey Financial Services Commission

Daniella joined the JFSC over two and half years ago, upon completion of her master’s degree from the University of Bristol. Daniella currently works within the Policy team as an Advisor within the Innovation Hub, and has engaged proactively with the FinTech/RegTech sector throughout the course of her time at the JFSC. She has also gained experience working on a variety of other policy related matters relating to AML/CFT, Conduct and Prudential. She has also undertaken internal secondments that have an innovation focus.
