Professional firms in Jersey have helped clients around the world to identify, establish and run philanthropic ventures for six decades. The expertise found on-Island, our flexible legislation and tax-neutral environment alongside our high regulatory standards and convenient location has set Jersey apart from other international finance centres as the ideal jurisdiction for the formation and administration of philanthropic structures.

Since their launch in 2009, Jersey Foundations have become increasingly popular with more than 400 registered; one third are used for philanthropic purposes, as identified through industry.

As Jersey celebrates its 60th anniversary as an international finance centre, and we look ahead to the next 60 years, now is an opportune time to consider how Jersey can evolve its offering to better support a more socially-conscious and connected private wealth community – from philanthropists to global institutions.

Open exclusively to Jersey Finance Members, the third event in our 2021 Spotlight Private Wealth event series will see a panel of leading experts in the private client world explore how the sector supports philanthropy through foundations and the opportunities for Jersey to evolve with future demands from global philanthropists who wish to support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
