The Government of Jersey published the Jersey Brexit Ready guide to help businesses prepare for a No Deal Brexit. There are also a series of public events on Monday 7 October 2019 for residents and businesses to give information about the preparations for a No Deal Brexit. Preparing for Brexit in Financial Services – Speech by Andrew Bailey

Andrew Bailey, Chief Executive, Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), has given a speech setting out an overview of the state of preparedness for Brexit in financial services. The speech included an update on the preparations the FCA has made for Brexit.

Brexit – FCA Update on No Deal Preparations

On 11 September 2019, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published a statement with a view to helping firms prepare for the potential of a No Deal Brexit.

Updates to the FCA’s Directions under the Temporary Transitional Power

On 26 September 2019, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) updated and published draft directions under its Temporary Transitional Power (TTP). The TTP gives the FCA flexibility in applying post-Brexit requirements, allowing firms to transition to a new UK regulatory framework. The directions would only come into effect on exit day if the UK leaves the EU without an implementation period.
