UBS Global Wealth Management today announced that Nick Mangan has been appointed Head of Private Clients in Jersey, CI. Nick has recently joined UBS, and has over 20 years of experience in the financial services in industry, providing investment management solutions to high and ultra-high net worth clients across Europe and the Middle East.

As Head of Private Clients, Nick is leading a team of talented Client Advisers to grow and develop what is an already strong local franchise with private clients, trust companies and family offices.

Nick started his career in 1999 as a Financial Planning Manager at HSBC in London before moving to Dubai as part of the offshore investment team with HSBC Expat. His extensive background in investment management, business risk, operations, product management and client relationship building, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He joins UBS from Brevan Howard, where he was the Head of Governance in Jersey. In this role, he was responsible for the governance of Jersey-based business, working with the board of directors. Prior to that, Nick held a variety of senior leadership roles in Jersey, including that of Head of Investment Counsellors at the Royal Bank of Canada, where he led a team of client-facing investment professionals in Jersey and London.

Nick holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business Banking from the University of Wales. Throughout his career, he has also obtained various professional qualifications including a Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from the International Compliance Association, a Financial Planning Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute as well as a Private Clients Investment Advice & Management Certificate from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He is also a member of the syllabus panel for the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
